I’ve always wanted a go-to grey sweatshirt. That one that’s been in your closet forever, isn’t too sloppy but fits perfectly. Just warm enough to wear in spring, but not really a “jacket”. I bought one from the Gap once. It sucked ass, shrunk funny, and always managed to look sloppy. I bought one from Banana Republic once, it shrunk from a mens large to a kids small and I gave it to our neighbors 7 year old.
So while I was in London trying on jeans and drooling over my new bag, I tried on the grey hooded sweatshirt from Paul Smith Jeans. I kinda dug the rainbow zebra and pretended not to think about living in homophobic Kansas where rainbow anything means gay. Instead I thought, “Holy shit. This thing fits perfectly. How do I not wear this home?”
So I did. And here it is. I wear it weekly. In fact, I’m wearing it in the Rogue Territory 6-month Stanton photos (although you can’t really see it and let’s be honest, you can’t stop looking at my superhero ass.)
Anyway, I wish I had bought it in every color. Or at least Navy and Purple.
